Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1995 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora or, sometimes, stylized as AURORA is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. She has previously recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry announced her new song Runaway. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard in her loft and being fascinated by its music. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to use music for development of her own, not as a way of earning money or for to pursue an interest. In order to do so she started writing her own original compositions. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and Bjork as her main influences. Her mom encouraged her to play her songs in public, not in order to gain fame but rather to help others realize how important they are and the good they do to make a difference in the world. As a young girl She began playing the piano and at nine, started writing songs. Her family didn't be aware of this until she turned fourteen. Aurora wasn't a dream. Aurora claims she loves composing songs. The music she composes is her way of feeling any thing.
